We are commited to raising standards and inspiring young minds
Our Trust
We are made up of twelve primary schools located in Leicestershire. We strive to provide the best education for all of our children and support and aid all of our amazing members of staff.
Our Vision and Values
At Symphony Learning Trust we are:
- Dedicated to providing balanced, inspirational and exciting learning experiences.
- We have a proven track record in leading national initiatives and effective School to School support.
- We focus on outstanding learning and teaching in all activities.
- We place emphasis on the well-being of pupils and staff.
Our Academic Excellence
Our 2024 KS2 results are noticibly above the National Average for Phonics, KS1, and KS2 combined.
Benefits for Our Students
We think working together with a shared sense of responsibility can make students progress and achieve even better. Together we:
- Better results for students.
- Each school shapes its own path, ensuring good outcomes for students and a great curriculum.
Benefits for Our Staff
We keep growing and improving the Symphony way, where:
- Our school leaders and teachers collaborate to share ideas and solve problems as a team on a monthly basis.
- Our Local Governors join forces to brainstorm strategies, pool their skills, and back each other up, especially when things get tough.
- We can organise professional development opportunities, whether it’s led by staff from one of our partner schools or an external organisation.
Benefits for Our Schools
All the SLT schools meet higher standards and improve in several ways:
- More cost-effective operations
- Sharing school leaders, teachers, and staff across multiple schools, which helps us tackle recruitment challenges, offer fresh opportunities to retain staff within the group and plan for the future more effectively.
- Our network of schools, supported by a central business team and services, makes it easier to access and fund specialised expertise (like specialist teachers and experts in areas like data analysis, finance, health and safety and HR). This also allows us to provide a richer range of academic and extracurricular activities.
- No school ever feels left on its own because we can tap into the significant expertise from other schools on an equal footing.
"Our staff have been given the opportunity to 'give back' to schools in need of expert support through the School Improvement team. Pupils benefit from a research driven approach to new initiatives and Trust wide standardised score benchmarking." Sarah Aukland, Head Teacher Newcroft Primary School
Our aim is to cultivate a happy and nurturing environment where all children can be the best possible version of themselves with high academic achievements. All staff are supported and listened to with their wellbeing at the heart of our principal.
